Good Music (Part 1)

Things that get me through the day: Good Food, Good Music, and Good People. Yes, in that order. But there is one thing I CANNOT live without...YG!! I am not a very big fan of K-pop. However all YG Artists tend to be so wonderful and awesome that I can't help being captivated by their beautiful music and personalities. YG is different from other agencies, they do not choose based on looks, they look for SKILLZ and it shows through their artists.

***This article will be divided into different parts. This is Part 1 and Part 2 will be posted soon, stay tuned!!***

PART 1

Tablo is a musical genius. He is the leader/rapper of Epik High, a hip hop group in YG. Their latest album was a few years ago, and are on an unofficial hiatus. Tablo is currently in his thirties and is married to Kang Hye Jung (Korean actress) and has one daughter named Haru. Haru is only five years old and appears on the reality show Superman is Back with her dad Tablo (More about Haru later). Tablo is my inspiration. Throughout his whole life he had many dark moments. He lived in Canada until he was suspended from school his freshmen year due to fights. His family then moved to Korea where he continued his education. Tablo loved music. He had a passion for songwriting/rapping and was very good. However his parents weren't very supportive, causing him to to feel a even stronger connection to music. He then graduated Stanford University. Can you believe it? STANFORD. He was very very smart but very unpredictable. He could do anything when he set his heart to hit but loved messing around and pulling pranks on others. Tablo then created Epik High with his friends and was scouted by YG Entertainment a few years later, during his darkest moments. DARKEST MOMENTS...of course caused by his own anti fans who spread false rumors about his Stanford degree being fake. The misunderstanding was solved when Stanford released Tablo's diploma on the request of Korean newspapers. However by this time, Tablo was already facing severe depression which could be seen in his music and actions. Even after these horrifying incidents, he was still able to continue his career and take care of his family who had been supporting him all this time. Tablo is now a loving father to his family and an amazing artist. I respect him and look up to him so much. He went after his goal and passion even when everyone around him discouraged him. I will link this article about Tablo below, that describes him perfectly...from his sly grins to the slight bounce in his steps. It also gives a better explanation about the Stanford incident.

Article about Tablo

His music. Tablo produced many great songs with his band Epik High, but the best songs were his solo albums. His lyrics were like poetry. His raps touched your heart. His voice made you feel. Bottom line? The songs were awesome, and they were nothing like I have ever heard before.

I hope these pictures give you an idea of what an amazing person Tablo is.

Even during his darkest moments, he worked hard for his fans.

His rapper, bad boy side.

During an interview, trying to clear any misunderstandings.

Tablo (Daniel Lee) had the truth behind him. This is the kind hate he had received from his fans.

Article Tablo wrote in the Stanford magazine.

Now about Tablo's daughter, HARU. SHE IS JUST TOO CUTE!!! She is a huge fan of G-Dragon an Taeyang from Big Bang even though she is only five. Haru meets G-Dragon and Taeyang oppa often since they are in the same agency as Tablo. On an episode of Superman is Back, Haru tells Tablo that she wants to live in New York...so she can do Hip Hop like her dad!! Tablo was so awestricken by her five year old daughter he was speechless. To see more of Haru, you can watch the Korean reality show Superman is Back.
Cutie Haru being a model.

Recording at her dad's studio! Future artist? Hopefully~

A Controversial Topic

First of all, Happy September 1st! It's getting close to fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and...the MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEARRR a.k.a. the holidays.

This post is not meant to offend anyone in any way as this is 100% my opinion. If you do not like what you are reading, then please kindly stop reading and leave my blog. This blog will be my little corner to talk about my thoughts and feelings. Please be respectful.

Who here is a girl? Who here is a guy? I am a girl and cannot speak for any guys, but this is how I see it. Girls have to spend so much more time than guys getting ready and looking good for their boyfriends, husbands, etc. When on the other hand, guys just throw on some jeans and a sweatshirt and don't get judged or hear rude comments. I'm sure not all guys are like this, but this is the way I see it. For example, high school. During high school, girls feel the need to be pretty and "fit in," so they wear make up and dress in revealing ways. If they are not with the trend or looks as if they did not pay much attention to their looks, then they will immediately be judged by other girls. TBH IT TAKES TIME, to wake up early every morning to fix your outfit, hair, makeup, etc. When the guys wake up 10-15 minutes before school starts and basically wear anything. Girls have to worry about shopping and staying trendy. This wastes lots of time, looking through clothing websites and reading fashion magazines. During this time, the guys are probably studying or reading... DOING SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE. I find it very unfair as all that time wasted by the girls totals up to weeks, months, and even years. When it is time to apply for college, the guys have an even greater advantage as they had more time to look for their passion and get ready while during that time, girls were beautifying themselves. The colleges don't care about the girls' situations in high school. They grade based on numbers. Everyone equally.

Another thing I don't understand...why do only girls tend to dress in revealing clothes? Girls dress in super skinny jeans or short shorts with their butt cheeks hanging out... I mean WHY? Are you trying to impress the guys, your parents, friends? WHYY are you doing that to yourself? It's as if they want guys to look at them. But the funny thing is, when the guys do check them out or stare at their butts, they call them perverts and get all mad. I mean yes, I understand that.. I wouldn't want guys to check me out and stare at my butt... but you were kind of asking for it ya know? I mean you were kinda the one that chose to dress that way. It was 100% under you're control. I find it gross. I'm disgusted by the girls that dress this way, and the guys that like them because of that. I mean don't those girls' parents even care? I wouldn't want my kid to dress for other boys. Ugh..EW..

I have much more to say about this topic, from teen clothing stores to celebrity influences... but I will continue that next time (or else this blogpost will get too long!).

AGAIN...this is my own opinion.
